New Video in the Works? Goodie!

Ok so, at lunch today, some associates of mine and I were discussing my movie production company. Eventually the idea of a new film came to hand. We came up with a pretty nice skeletal idea for a new video, but it's very sketchy at the moment. We're planning the details of it now, and hopefully we'll be able to do some work on it soon. The most likely soonest time we'll be able to do any real work on it will be the first or second week into summer vacation. Summer vacation starts June 8th for us, so you might be able to expect some work to be done sometime in that time frame.

We’re now “Director” status on YouTube, and I have Director’s Block.

Since YouTube has recently implemented various changes to their site, I've noticed the new Director status that some members have now. I figured this would be a good opportunity for me to become a Director on YouTube just for the heck of it, so I signed up.

 On a more depressing note, I haven't made a new video in almost 2 months. I have had several ideas, but I just don't have the resources available to make the images in my head a reality. So many ideas I can't put into place. There are so many limitations on my life right now that I really can't put forth much time or effort into making films. So much schoolwork and whatnot to do. 

Also the facts that I can't drive and most of my friends aren't fond of the idea of being in a video both contribute to my limitations as a film-maker. Fortunately though, Summer vacation is coming up, which means I'll have much more free time to make videos. 

 So if you guys (those few of you) can wait, I might have something done a few weeks into June maybe early July. It all depends on how School goes and how Summer Vacation goes.

Considering a New Name

Hey there everybody.

Lately I’ve been thinking that the name ‘2nd rate productions’ isn’t very appealing to the audience, so I’m considering changing the name to something else. The logo will most likely remain the same, I’d just have to reshoot it with the new name on it.

I’m going to think on it for a while, so until then, 2nd Rate Productiond remains. But keep a look out, odds are I will end up changing the name.

Don’t Go Away Video Released

After about a month of filming, editing, sweating and crying, the new Don’t Go Away video by 2nd Rate Productions © has been finished! The video has been uploaded to Youtube, but will also be available on Uploading.com in a larger form. I will hopefully have it on Uploading.com by the end of the day, seeing as how it is having some technical difficulties right now. You can view the video on Youtube on my Myspace. Don’t Go Away Video Update

Ok, I have decided that I am definatley going to finish the video this weekend, so it will hopefully be done by Sunday and already be on the internet before Monday.

I only have about 1 minute of film to record, and then it’s all just editing from there on out.

Latest Video Update

Well, the video’s been going great, but very slow. So far we’ve got the vast majority done, we’ve only got about 20 seconds left to shoot, for the rest of the film, then we’ve got some editing to do.

If I (Rudy) do decide to re-shoot a few scenes then the video will take a bit longer. There are a few scenes that did not turn out how I wanted, so I have decided to think about re-shooting them.

The video will most likely be done within 2 weeks, so much school work lately has prevented me from being able to dedicate much time to it. But fret not, for it will be finished!

Latest video in Production

Allrighty folks, this video is really gonna knock your socks off once it’s finished. I’m putting my heart and soul into it. It’s a music video, my first at that.

The video is about halfway done, I’ve shot and put together 2:10 out of 4:48. So we’ve got a ways to go, not to mention how the weather has been affecting shootings. The weather’s been so cold lately, I’ve had to postpone some shootings.

Luckily, the weather was bearable enough to be able to shoot a lot of the video, I was able to shoot most of the first half of the video today. I spent about an hour and a half editing it, and so far I’m very pleased with the results.

The video should be finished by Friday hopefully, so I’ll be able to upload it by Saturday night. If it’s not finished on Friday, then it will most likely be done by Monday. If for any reason it isn’t done by Monday, I’m probably either swamped with schoolwork, or have other things occupying my time. But that’s doubtful, so the video should be out by Friday.
